You ever looked at the ingredients in teas and notice the same herbs are used over and over in different tea mixes and wondered why?
Unsurprisingly, one single herb can have a plethora of multiple uses. For example, holy basil, holy basil is a natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, but it also is used for heart health, weight loss, blood pressure, liver support, it has some reports of combating cancer, depending on where you are looking and who you are asking. Some individuals use this as a stress reliever because of it being an adaptogen herb. It could have influence on the hormone, cortisol, that circulate in the blood and reduce the excess of cortisol and balance adrenal glands.
So, herbalists tend to mix and match the same herbs you see over and over with another, and another till it creates a different taste or creates a new feeling of wellness. For every individual person, the herbs and blends react differently with each person, one tea might make one person sleepy, while it makes another person energized.
Everything depends on the individual and what they lack or have more of in their nutrients, in their body, in their chemistry or how their system reacts to different new things.
So please don't get discouraged with seeing the same things over and over again, just try different mixes and notice how it makes you feel, if you know one might not work for you, try another.
Also! Teas are a diluted, of course, cause all teas are placed in water or whatever fluid tickles your fancy. Sometimes, individuals drinking tea might have to consume it for some time to feel the effects of it while others after one cup will feel a difference. If you're wanting a stronger, less diluted herbal supplement or mix, try a tincture!
